In the mountainous area there is a complex 15-kilometer interval of the federal highway R-257 "Yenisei". The site is characterized by a height difference, with significant longitudinal slopes. The designer of Avtodorproekt - Trassa LLC was tasked with developing an effective structural solution for pavement. Together with the engineers of the GEXA company, a structure with a Geospan OR 30/15 volumetric geogrid was calculated. In accordance with the calculation, the proposed design has increased shear resistance on longitudinal slopes and meets all regulatory requirements, including ODM 218.3.032-2013. As a result, it was possible to achieve a reduction in the thickness of the pavement to 38 cm.
The fundamental correctness of the design solution was positively assessed by the Federal autonomous organization ROSDORNII. The overhaul of this interval was completed in 2016.
