In 2011, work was carried out to restore the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP. The road was supposed to provide unhindered and reliable transportation of heavy loads (up to 300 tons) for the restoration of the technological equipment of this hydroelectric power station.
Geospan TN-50 woven geotextile manufactured by Gexa-Nonwoven Materials LLC was used at the border of the subgrade and pavement layers from gravel-sand mixtures of optimal composition. The delivery of the canvas in a short time was made by Trade House "Gexa-Siberia"
The material was stacked between June and September 2011. The work was carried out on the basis of the "Technological regulations for laying the woven material "Geospan TN" in the subgrade and the base of the pavement."
During the production process, it was experimentally confirmed that the material is simple and easy to use, the technological operation took a minimum of time.
The result of the use of Geospan TN-50 geofabric was the absence of rutting and an increase in the bearing capacity of the pavement. In August through September 2011, several super-heavy cargoes passed along the road within the deadlines set by the customer. No destructive changes or deterioration in the operational properties of the reconstructed road were found.
