Geospan GT

Efficiency and scope of application

Geospan GT geotubes are filled by pumping a mixture of an inert non-toxic substance and water (pulp) using a pump or hydraulic mechanization tools. Geospan GT is used as containers for drying or storing various types of water-insoluble solids (bottom sediments, ash, drill cuttings, etc.), which enables for the shortest possible work and disposal. Filled containers are also used in hydraulic engineering to solve many engineering and environmental problems.

The use of Geospan GT enables to:

• filtration and drying of bulk material without the cost of fuel and electricity;

• reduce the size of the production site by stacking geotubes in several layers on top of each other;

• ensure protection of bulk contents from erosion by atmospheric precipitation, dispersal and reduce the spread of unpleasant odors;

• to use local materials in hydrotechnical construction, to save on the delivery of stone. Combined use with stone, reinforced concrete structures or gabions is possible;

• increase the productivity of mineral mining.

Application scope of Geospan GT:

• construction of mooring structures and dams;

• creation of a water area in the coastline;

• storage and excavation of soil;

• construction of hydraulic breakwaters;

• ensuring the protection of the body of the embankment in the process of alluvium soil;

• production of cleaning the bottom of reservoirs and rivers from bottom sediments.
